Unskippable Sorting Restarted Largest Ship. Rage Quit
So I accidentally forgot to do Autosort after dismantling the largest ship (I forget it's name off-hand) and got stuck doing the most obnoxious sorting on the MOST parts humanly possible. So I decided to just exit the game to the main menu.

When I reloaded, I was at the start with the entire ship intact.

i quit the game without saving after that.

Can we NOT have the sorting game? Or make it actually quitable if you accidentally forget to press the stupid autosort box? It's not fun with THOUSANDS of pieces. In fact, it's NOT FUN AT ALL

Do it once and you’ll never do it again!
That’s what you get for rage quitting.
After sitting through boxes, boxes, boxes, boxes i vowed i would never forget that experience and now it’s cathartic to tick the ‘auto sort’ box and laugh at the idiot i was that let it happen in the first place ;)

I so hate that mini sorting game. So obnoxious!
Sometimes, you can hold the boost down for a whole minute, other time the item constantly swap between the 4 types, and it's just impossible to swap to the correct container while using boost. If you don't use boost however, it becomes a real tedious slog.

On average it can take up to 10 minutes or more to sort through it all, and for what? That perfect sorting bonus that's practically pocket change, an amount that you can find in one of the many safes, sometimes even twice as much.
I got ya bro.

What you need to know, is that you only need to repeat the missed bits, every hit that you made, remains a hit, you only loose the cash bonus for comboes, which you were willing to loose anyway with the autosort.

What you'll do, is just boost the ENTIRETY of the containers into one spot. The first one will be the longest, and each one will be consequently shorter. You can do any order you wish. There are two smart ways to do it. Doing metal first, then nonmetal, liquid and tools, is the fastest. Reverse order will net you a larger combo bonus. Yes, you'll need to sort it 4 times, but since you won't be doing any actual sorting, just yeeting everything into one container, it'll be fairly swift.

So, to recap.
Just yeet everything into one container.
Then yeet everything remaining into a different container.
Doing it 4x makes you "speed sort" the entire ship.
Doing metal first is faster.
Doing metal last is more cash.

Oh, and to top off the indignity, I had full levelled gear to take the ship apart. It's now on level 1 and I have 75 dollars. And I have Fuso warship sitting in the yard. And my upgraded hut is level 1

the last time I mistakenly didn't auto-sort I just turbo'd the entire string and said 'F it' to the stuff I missed. Completely not worth it.

Before the sorting begins the game makes an autosave which you can load.
