One of the fun goals is to make the structure crumble.
Finally since the update...
The structure floats.
Thanks
L'un des buts amusant est de faire s'effrondrer la structure.
Finalement depuis la mise à jour...
La structure flotte.
Merci

This type of bug is the biggest issue in the game right now.

But then we get patch 1.0.3 and this bug is mentioned ... not at all ??
Like please devs, fix the biggest detriment of the game instead of doing nice to have features like "turn off night". Yes i would use that immediatly, but fixing gravity should be top of the list by far...

I had the same problem. First I started taking down the lowest floor, thinking maybe somehow the game things it's still connected.
After giving up, I started tearing down the top floor.... and suddenly after removing all floors at the top, the whole thing collapsed. Like it was connected to the top somehow.

I have tons of floating walls and structures I can't get to on the large ship.
We're still remodeling the ship models to stop such things from happening. Sorry. :( I know it's frustrating, but I have to ask you to be patient. We're doing our best. ಥ_ಥ

5 months since your post...not a thing's changed. This destroys game enjoyment. Like fully....unlike my last few ships...
The floating structural pieces absolutely wreck immersion. It goes against everything this game is supposed to be about. :steamfacepalm:

I have to admit I'm disappointed with this game.
On the smaller ships this wasn't that big of a problem, but with the big ones it becomes extremely frustrating trying to dismantle them. I have just given up and simply grind the ship away from top to bottom, one layer at a time. And I'm thinking about just giving up on the game.
This shouldn't take a year to fix.

I hope someone makes a competing game where stuff actually works.
Spent ages on Humbak (?) and just noticed some of the items are floating in midair with very little chance of getting them down. I guess this will be another case of not being able to complete the ship because the floating items get in the way of the crane. This happens with practically every ship. This is a disgrace to be totally honest and a real shame because the idea of the game is good and mostly the running of the game is good but these floating items really need sorting. It's now 8 months since they asked us to be patient. Funny how they found time to make two new dlcs in that time which have just made the problems worse. Another thing they really need to look at is the economy side of the game - I mean $4,450 for the resources on Humbak. It should be about 20 times that much with all of the metals, containers, engines, chemicals etc. Not sure if calling this a simulator was a good idea as its not very realistic for the reasons mentioned. I do hope they fix it as the game could be really enjoyable if they put some effort into fixing things.

That's not the only dumb game-ism in the game. The whole system around ship difficulty and tool upgrades is kinda bad. You finish a ship, upgrade your tools, and start the next ship. But this ship has a higher difficulty so now you're working slower despite having just upgraded your tools. This feels bad to play, and it doesn't even make sense.
