MS is great at remastering remasters see AoE.
Q3R will come. reason is to bring it on consoles.
And making money with old content.
Also I've had OS updates become incompatible with the Quake 3 engine (unless I turned on compatibility mode) and the Quake 3 engine change my brightness on my desktop and I'd have to change it manually. Not a big deal, just annoying. And these issues occur on Quake Live as well.
I'd honestly like to see both Quake 3 and Quake Live remastered because of these things. It may be weird that I'm asking for Quake Live remastered as well, but it's the only Quake game with workshop support which is almost always nice to have. So I'd love to see a remaster that utilizes that. And in all honesty, they probably won't add that to a Quake 3 remaster. I want them to, though.
I am also moreso advocating for other features that could be included in a remaster like what Quake 1 and 2 got. Ya know, like crossplay, better controller support, split screen, remote play together... Those last three might sound especially weird, but I can actually very much utilize all three of those, and I know some friends who'd very much love all that too.
