I'm skeptical it will happen because Quake Live exists, which is basically Q3A with more maps, skins, weapons and workshop support.

Q3A never had a "proper" SP campaign like the first two Quakes, meaning, they'd have to make one specific for it, which would be cool, but I kinda doubt it's happening.

That and Quake Champions is trying very hard to be Q3A's remaster.

Quake Live is PC only. Quake 1 and 2 are on consoles as well. So the Nightdive Remaster will beat Quake Live in terms of accessibility, you could play it on Switch 2.
