Grey screen starting Quake 3 arena in a new dell windows 7 desktop, 64 bit
I have a new dell windows 7 desktop, 64 bit, with an intel 135 express chipset family graphics card. Fresh install of steam version, and I can hear it load but can't see anything. I've already done the uncheck the screen overlay box and it didn't fix anything. It ran on windows 7 just fine on my old dell desktop, although it died soon after I installed it. So I didn't get to test it much, I just know it ran. I have been messing with this for weeks to try and play with my girlfriend, and if someone has a nice quick easy solution for this I would appreciate it. I"m getting tired of having problems with this, between steam being stupid, my original cd install not being compatible with the steam version, and now my computer needing replacing. I just would like this to be visible and work for me. Any help would be appreciated it, it's becoming a little overwhelming.

Does anyone have any ideas for me? I've already tried q3config tweaking and it hasn't helped so far. Still a grey screen. Half life seems to work with no problem.

How about Team 3 arena? anything similar for that? Not as urgent but it was having the same issue.
