network setting and net graph

I remember last time I played with my good understanding of source engines network settings and network graph both adopted from quake (biggest difference is that quake is extrapolated and not interpolated networking) that none of the servers were using good settings.

Nothing got my fps as sharp as quick as playing q3a I was running .... 1000/6 (~166fps) or maybe 1000/7 (~143fps) server fps which made the bots way harder and I beat everything on nightmare until the final level (xero?) with the ramps and the bfg on that crush platform. His programming was clearly tick related so he shot me before I could snipe him. He was better that were faster than an aimbot somebody would use that required them to click fire.

You aren't supposed to play against aimbot like Xaero on his own terms, you'll always lose in a railgun duel. Hide behind a column or jumppad, wait for him to jump to your platform, and either push him mid jump into oblivion or spam him with rockets while constantly breaking his line of sight with columns.

I have the game running high tick again but the difficulty isn't like it used to be so I'm not sure what is going on. If I had changed more settings or something

Also even hiding behind columns the millisecond you would peak you would die with the settings I had. It would be impossible even for the best esports player in the world. Not sure why having high tick isn't making the bots harder now though... but i haven't got to xaero as im playing other games
