If you mean bots yes, there's no single player campaign, just multiplayer matches against bots. If you wanna play this game against people you should buy Quake Live which is an updated version of 3 and people still play that: store.steampowered.com/app/282440

Don't listen to the other person, Quake Live is just as "dead" as vanilla Quake 3. Get regular Q3 and play on any of these servers:

Quake Live has 12v12 matches on some nights with players laffin in voice chat just like in the early days of Quake 3 Arena on heat or mplayer lul
Quake 3 has the best community maps only some of them are in Quake Live

There was this whole campgrounds > dust thing going
Heat was better than Steam.
Then Heat failed and all went to Mplayer
Mplayer is better than Steam!!!
Then Mplayer failed and now we all on Steam lmao
