Hey, what's going on with the servers ?

I bought this game yesterday cause I felt nostalgic, I remember playing it a looong time ago and it's a timeless classic.

But I genuinely don't understand what's going on with the servers, sometimes it's written that there is like 9 players but when I join the server there's actually only bots in the server.

Then I found a server that had real players I think, but I'm not even sure because when I looked at the leaderboard of the match I could't even see the names or the ping of anybody, and then my framerate was constantly at like 30fps on this server ( instead of the stable 166 fps, though I tried to lock it at 144 but for some reason it's locked at 166 fps ).

Most of the servers are dead and filled with bots. They generally have a Quake logo to the side of their name. Look for Q3 Retro servers. They're the most active and stay packed on weekends.

Kkey well thanks for the info !

But I'll play Quake Live I think, it's basically the same game but modding is way easier, access to servers is way easier too.

The only thing I didn't like about Quake Live and that immediately made me want to be refunded is that they censored the game :(

But I just had to download the GIBS! mod on the workshop and this problem is fixed, so I'll stick to Quake Live :D
