So hey, does this mean that you are adding a custom .pk3 to your baseq3 fiolder? I'm curious if I could play custom maps with this "steam" version of q3a.

That's my question. Can I build my own maps and play them with this version?

You should be able to play anything that you normally could with Quake 3 Arena retail. I've tested it with Generations Arena v 0.99f and it works fine.
