So buying a title doesnt grant me access to the online servers? thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane. hell no.
Ill wait for steams response, im not gonna pay for something to be denied access to a majority of the game. In case you arent aware, without a proper key the game stays in a demo mode which doesnt include all features. Im not paying for a demo im paying for a game.
Explain to me why I was still unable to join online games without entering a valid key please. it brings the cdkey screen up before joining each match. then once ive entered the INVALID key i was given it boots me to title screen. and I tried on MANY servers.
so no dice bud.
When an issue with a "cdkey" comes up in the system the links to get to support loop back to the community discussions page, the link taking you to this page is labelled "Contact Support".
The information in the "cdkey" issues tell you to contact id software for assistance with keys. Id software no longer supports Quake 3 arena and will not respond to email or phone inquiries.
The return form has a box for resoning and to get a message through, this system is fully automated, the message you type in the box is viewed by no one and has no real purpose.
After requesting for assistance the support staff did nothing to answer my inquiries and they ignored everything I said, They responded with automated messages until I forced the issue further. This is not customer support this is customer avoidance.
Even after talking to a person they failed to answer any of my questions, They even asked me to rebuy the game at the 24.99 price when I had just spent 6. After asking for them to resolve the mistaken return they refused to fix the issue. At that point I was brushed off and told they wouldnt assist me.
Eventually another person contacted me to tell me they wouldnt assist me, a useless message that in no way was needed. Being told that they understood my frustrations didnt resolve anything either, a useless and cowardly way to avoid someone.
This is not good business, I didnt spend hundreds on games to be brushed off when I have a small issue. Im also not happy my money was touched without me being asked. Steam support is a joke, ive had better support from comcasts india call center, they dont even understand english.
Just another big company who doesnt give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about anyone.
I saw games of my library dissappear not only from there, but from activity (buying, activating) page.
Well. I suposse that if you can, register a claim in court. Sounds weird for such a tiny ammount of monetary value, but is a commerce issue, and the biggest scams occour cent by cent silently.
