When there are objects on a table, the table is missing a shadow but the items on the table have a shadow under the table. I spotted 2 tables like this. Other areas it seemed to be OK.

For me, Breen's speech didn't seem to play as I made the exit the introduction area to grenades. Normally it starts playing on the monitors as you get through the last room when you leave.

When you get the airboat and are being hunted down, there's one tunnel exit with a single item crate in the middle right as you exit it, and for me, the airship got thrown up like it hit a brick instead of immediately crushing the crate. After a couple seconds the crate did smash automatically as the airboat wiggled.

In the pit of headcrabs, several of them are all in the same spot overlapping with each other.

One of the trucks has some grass going through the back of it.

Commentary
If you move into the next chapter before a node finishes speaking, and then go back to that chapter, the commentary speech starts again from the beginning automatically, but the progress bar resumes where it was, and truncates the remainder of the speech that doesn't fit when the progress bar is filled.

Bugs I've encountered so far:

- The new UI scaling sometimes reverts to the old one when you change the screen mode, and/or when you change the UI scaling option.
- VSync doesn't work with Borderless screen mode.
- A lot of the railings/fences/cables etc on a longer distance become partially invisible, dunno if it's related to LOD settings.
- Physics could use some updates to the settings of them, as they become really janky when playing higher than 60fps. (iirc, tick rates were the cause of that).
- Those ridged big steel pipe tunnels (canals have those, and the hoverboat section) have a lot of light flickering on the surface of them (recorded a video of that if needed).
- Fog is still working like these sprite sheets, which doesn't blend with the levels (might be too big of an overhaul to get those to look nicer).



Might be unrelated to the game itself, but encountered this too:

- Steam's recording makes the game stutter like crazy, other games seems to run just fine with it.

"spin_none" parameter used for harpoons in d2_coast_11 and 12 meant to prevent harpoon from spinning randomly when launched with a gravgun doesn't work.

There is a bug in EP2 with Gamepad UI:
The health bar is missing because of a typo in the ep2/ep2_pak_dir vpk/scripts/hudlayout res file:
"ypos" "426"HudPoisonDamageIndicator <--------the typo
And because of that typo, the game prints this message in the console 3 times:
KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got } in key in file scripts/HudLayout.res Resource/HudLayout.res, HudHealth,

Another one:
A soldier goes through this door right at the beginning. however, if you stand in front of this door when he tries to open it, the door remains closed and you are trapped with nowhere to go. Deadlock.

In a heavily scripted game like HL2, when there's major changes brought to it, this kind of thing is bound to happen. It sucks. Not sure if they will bother fixing any bugs reported here.

But it's a nice thread to have to keep track.

Not sure if this is a Linux-specific issue, but ever since the update, the character's mouth animations are at a much lower framerate than any other animations they perform. All body animations and face flexes are at full framerate minus only the mouth. Also, some alternative sound variants for dialogue doesn't play. Very noticeable in combat where NPC:s repeat the same pain grunt sound every time they get hit.

for me the game crashes everytime a zombie is spawned in. it crashed right when those headcrab pods fly in before you get the airboat, it crashed when i entered ravenholm, i tried reloading but it doesnt matter, keeps crashing
