It warns you about disabling achievements when you activate commentary mode.

I just beat the game without commentary mode. I didn't get the achievement either despite closing the Gnome and Lamar both inside the rocket's capsule. No i didn't use any Command prompts either, it was a clean play-through. I've noticed a number of achievements that should have been unlocked on this as well as previous runs.

Guys, I don't have developer commentary enabled and also used no console or anything... it's a clean playthrough but, still I cannot get the gnome achievement so far...
Is it awarded when the rocket is sent to space or when you close the nose-cone door??

Btw... you can still get the gnome out of the rocket after the door is closed with the gravity gun.

If you can get it out, then it is still no time. Just let him rest there to get cozy. You will get the achievement when is finally time to let him leave this planet.
