What about a Playstation release
Author Grim Dawn
Jason Bush Sorry, we don't have any plans currently to release on Playstation. It just sort of happened that MS reached out to us and actively tried to get us to do a port while Sony never responded to any of our email inquiries. At the time, we had a lot going on and trying to get on Playstation fell by the wayside. Given what a pain this Xbox port has been, I honestly don't know if we'll even bother with consoles in the future

Kaye Dewar Not so much we needed Sony to respond but Sony actually approached us first about a port and we started a dialog about it, then they just stopped replying, and I sort of forgot about it. This is actually not that unusual as big publishers frequently have re-orgs where people move around or leave. Meanwhile, someone from MS expressed interest and kind of got the ball rolling, so we ended up going with it. We didn't expect or receive any kind of kickback from either party. It's just easier sometimes to get through all the legal and setup / get dev kits, when you have someone advocating for you. Unfortunately, the guy we were dealing with at MS vanished too, so now we're just scrubs and can't get an X series kit. We also did the port because an engineer was interested in doing it but he didn't want to try doing two at once... We're a small team that wants to do a lot of things, we kind of go in the direction of our various interests. If we were set on doing a Sony port, I'm sure we'd have figured out how to get that going. We didn't expect or receive kickbacks from either.
Pain in terms of communication/organization/collaboration with MS or in the technical sense? I always thought it was easier to develop a game for consoles than for PCs because PCs have thousands of possible configurations.
