Its very clearly a beta. How do i know this? I played reign of kings, and minecraft alpha.
Some games fully released dont even have said base poe2, but it does indeed need more time in the oven hence why its in EA. POE1 was also in this type of closed paided beta.
But luckly we got a new GD update, that IMO fixed piece builds alteast. FFFFFFF that pice converstion ratio, it was BS, and a left over from TQ 1. Its gone at last :D
Thanks! I'm very glad to have them gone.
It is way better than POE1 and POE2 combined. Why? Because there's no microtransactions in GD. You're not forced to spend money on inventory or stash tabs and you're not forced to play the game online. Besides that, POE2 has a horrible combat system, worse than POE1, with clunky animations and the worst possible in-game balance in terms of monster strength i have ever seen. POE2 isn't supposed to be a souls like, it's supposed to be an ARPG competing with Diablo 4, but with the trash balancing in that game, it can't even compete with POE1 because it's so bad.
Great graphics doesn't make a game great. Great gameplay loop, great gameplay mechanics and great balance does. At the moment, GGG are just doing typical GGG stuff and are nerfing builds that work rather than looking at the actual pain points to make the game enjoyable for more than the 100 dedicated hardcore gamers who play POE2, licking their boots up and down.

Anyway, thanks for the early Christmas present Zantai. Looking forward to getting back into it.
The GGG games have their faults but don't be disingenuous. I have spent way less on Poe2 that I ever spent on Grim dawn when i purchased it on release... Buying the full set of custom stash tabs is still way less than most full priced games. It's just an alternative business model and they are actually very fair. You aren't forced to buy the cosmetics you know...
Disingenuous? It's called being honest, something boot lickers from other franchises aren't familiar with being.
If you bought POE2 as well as maxed out stash tabs etc, then claim it's cheaper than buying a full AAA title, you need to get yourself back to school and take special classes in math, buddy..
Nobody was talking about cosmetics. You literally NEED to max out all your stash tabs, because inventory management is also a core part of the game, as it is with any ARPG of this kind.
What's that nonsense about combat having no weight to it? Ragdoll physics are silly? You sure you've even played GD? It's just like in Diablo 3. Killing mobs have weight far beyond what POE2 is capable of..
The combat and physics in GD is one of many, many things that makes it good, as opposed to the dull, clunky and boring combat of POE2.
Ragdoll is fun. Don't have to waste resources on death animations either.
