How do you feel about the new upcoming Loyalty 3 DLC?
I think it looks amazing. It says it was made by popular request. I was wondering if that was just marketing but I do know that there are fans of the game that take a real interest in character outfit designs and uploading their character looks on forums. After taking a look at the DLC's page it is something I would consider purchasing.

To be honest, it's something I will likely buy just to support Crate, but won't use often (if at all). Just like the first 2. I'll try everything once or twice, and go back to not caring much about Fashion Dawn. I honestly only use the Will-o-the Wisp on a regular basis. Sometimes the Crate companion just for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles.
Excited because of 3 things
one being Crate actually added it after years of player request but rejecting it several times previously
other being i think they look dope, and frequently use transmogs during levelling or for end builds
lastly, this Loyalist Pack includes/is built on "new tech"/extra features being added to GD as a whole (doesnt' require buying the loyalist pack for said tech ofc), which makes me extreeemely curious what that means for outfits and GD fashion going forward and what it will be used for in Fangs of Asterkarn

I'm super excited and cannot wait to buy it. My favorite things are the cosmetic pets, I just wish we could have more out at a time instead of just 3. I want my little army of cosmetic pets following me. I'm also really excited about the Mogdrogen set!

There are a lot of players who feel the same as I do, it's nice to be able to support a company that truly deserves it, and earned it the hard way (years of work and development). Not to mention I get something in return as well, 100% worth it IMHO.

I have over 6 years worth of playing this game (started EA), I'm at 2000+ hours and that's nothing compared to others. To say I got my moneys worth is a huge understatement. These Loyalty DCs, and especially the new one, are a way for the developer to thank us, and for us to show our appreciation and thank them for their hard work & dedication to the players.

Nope, people wanted a 3rd one right after the 2nd one was released with 93% saying YES!

https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/do-you-want-more-loyalist-packs/85064

As Zantai said in that thread: "Wasn’t expecting the response to be That unanimous right after Loyalist Pack 2.

We hear you guys and appreciate the enthusiasm! We’ll have to think about what a Loyalist Pack 3 could do for your fashion needs."

As gNuffi said they have declined to make a 3rd one despite the overwhelming yes to the poll back in 2019. I think that's more just because they wanted a break for a while rather than any rejection of the fans' wishes.

I don't know how many players actually use items from the Loyalist Packs. I've used a few on some characters, but mainly for me it's a way to additionally support Crate a bit more money-wise and show my appreciation for all the work they've put into the game over the years.
also several threads through the years after that was made suggesting/asking for them to re-reconsider it again and again, aside from the individual post/replies in patch threads or update announcements too :clagh:

My pet theory is that this new tech is related to shapeshifting, as they probably wanted to make player model (at least partially) invisible, so the shapeshift form can replace human model without some awkward clipping.

Using it for transmogs was probably just an afterthought and they finally had something good enough to actually warrant Loyalist Pack 3.

But that's just a wild guess from my side, based on available information.

I'm also curious if and how they take advantage of this in new expansion.
i don't know, but i don't think that's it, atleast thought shapeshifting would require actual model change/rig swap, and not just something overlaid on our existing parts
tho maybe they've found ways to attach the shapeshifted"skin" to our existing model/rig so it's just an extension 😅

Yeah, people asked for this and expac, so they gave us just that. Looks good, seems they put in extra effort in making this sets, so i'll get it.
Not sure about expansion though. Devs mentioned that game already feels a bit bloated after 2 expansions and i felt it at times. On the other hand, i cant say no to more GD, and i trust them to deliver.

The sets already swap animations, add hair apparently, and add new pieces like wings. I'd assume those all are connected to shapeshifting implementation.

Good theory, but nope. Unrelated systems. :)

aeh, that's kinda unrelated to it
think of shapeshifting as changing a square to a circle, or a tesseract even; something actually different than the original
and the cosmetics is more like, still a square, but things added on it or altering it; but still a square underneath
the way GD works each part of our visuals are like separate blocks, and you can change those blocks/give those visual blocks a different appearance, but it doesn't change the underlying rig just the visual blocks, (suppose in body comparison you're changing muscles and skins but the skeleton remains the same - and stuff is tied to the skeleton)
that's why when we change armour, boots etc, we're not changing attack animations or spell casting animations, because they aren't tied to the superficial look of our char.
Shapeshifting would probably swap the actual char model and then be able to use new/separate animations to that rig/skeleton
^again that's me assuming they found a way to do that since that used to be the issue previously/why shapeshifting wasn't doable before, but maybe they just found a way to jury-rig it instead of actually swapping animations

i agree that the armor sets look really cool. i will probably buy this pack immedietly at launch.

small rant: im still a little disappointed that we dont have a roguish/assasine-armor set. in loyalist pack 2 we got a set for warriors, barbarians and mages; in pack 3 we will get warrior (empyrion), barbarian (mogdrogen), mage/necromancer (rattosh) and probably mage (aetherial one).
i admit, the ch'thon-set could work as a asasine armor, but in my opinion fits more to a occult/warlock character.

thisis just my opinion, an d i dont want to insult someone. like i said i really like the sets andcrate probably has their reasons to choose exactly these five gods for the armor sets.
