From the Arkovian Undercity take the exit on the first level into Broken Hills, go through that area into Barren Highlands and through that to get to Smuggler's Pass.

You want the top left exit shown here to get out into Broken Hills.

wrong one, that's the entrance to dungeon floor 2
you want the previous exit/"eye" lower left in the map

i discovered that...the link above does not go to that map. found it finally though.
grimtools map default has a lot of spoilers btw, don't recommend using it that much/"vanilla" if caring about exploration/self-discovery, (also why i filtered them out on my screenshots 😅)
but definitely useful to get an overview for navigation for sure

You went south instead of north. Go north before you get to tyrants hold.

again, look at teh picture guide i posted
if you went to tyrants hold you went the complete opposite way after reaching Prospector's trail
follow the main road/"always go up/north", stop turning your map if that's what's interfering reading grimtools map 😅

yes, exploration is a thing, believe it or not, there are people out there that don't like to follow guides, or even the ones that do like map exploration, i know it might be complicated to wrap ones brain around such concepts if one isn't into it oneself or forgot about it.
And yes, there is way more than 1% of build options valid and totally viable, yes you can't permanently ruin a character (dafuq game are you even playing if you think that about GD?), and "stealing hours" is a weird af mentality to have if we're already in the realm of someone liking exploring maps, not following guides etc, since loads of people dive into certain types of games with the mindset of XY hours being invested.
If not the type of person, then they are usually rushing through the game anyway, and then the "spoiler"warning or exploration concept isn't really for those, so is moot there anyway.
Or perhaps you struggle with basic stuff like differentiating map exploration vs game or mechanic/build exploration? :tiwthink:
So yea, plopping in a potential potential "spoiler warning" when referring to grimtools maps hurts no one, and only highlights your lack of GD understand but also consideration for the types of people playing the game when snorting at it like that

That makes no sense. Just because other people have already explored the game, doesn't mean a new player has. I don't get it. What do you mean?

Are you having difficulty understanding the concept of maps? For someone with your level of needs, I think you should ask your state-appointed guardian to read you a wikipedia article on the subject.
are you having difficulty understanding the concept of players existing that want to clear and explore maps for themselves making whatever discovery there is to be found on their own. Be it the location of a dungeon, secret area, chest, or other thing tucked off to the side?
It should be such a simple concept to come to terms with that there are players out there enjoying such things - trying to be smart or snarky doesn't help you there as you seem to miss that basic concept and just come off as a, well lots of words fit in there...

Kinda cringe tbh, but I guess that's what you get when you deal with private profile trolls.
so, you fail to grasp multiple simple concepts in this thread, and uses the most absurd hyperbole irrelevant comparison or as people like to toss out left and right these days "a strawman" - i'm sure you'll fail at grasping the simple reality of why your example has 0 bearing or relation to game map exploration, but kudos for managing to stray so far out into the stratosphere in your attempt of reach.
Gratz also fail to grasp the basic concept of a "friends only"steam profile; has nothing to do with the merits of ones responses, being or troll, or any of the sort, not treating steam as a social media platform, so well job on not understanding a varied range of fundamentals
And the "complaining", is you being both rude, (you're straight up insulting Mick "namecalling" using a veiled reference but actual direct slur), and you having a (continued) bad reaction/take to the initial point you received.
The one "off" on all accounts here is you, and you being pointed out on that account you then don't like, and attempt to dismiss it with BS takes.
You're being neither smart cool edgy interesting fun correct or anything remotely meaningful, you get no internet points because you're just failing at every response you have here, and have brought nothing of value since your initial comment.

or to simply use your own words highly applicable to yourself:

and the way you act i'd assume you're more bratty on a plane, than i'd ever muster up the silly enough to complain about the pilots doing their fricking job :steamfacepalm:

steam level 300.... oof I'd be grouchy as ♥♥♥♥ too if I spent my entire existence on the internet. Most hardcore case of needing to touch grass I ever saw.
