I got both of mine off the Manticore boss guy. Can't remember his name right at the moment.

I have had 3 from normal mants and 1 from a champion..all mants drop them near pine barrens gate .

Ive cleared that entire area now including the Patriarch and not 1 dropped for the bounty

does it matter what manticore you kill or where? cleared it (Jagged wastes) for the 3 rd time no eye 2 bosses last time.. the bounty doesnt spawn a special manticore somewhere does it? the bounty does not give any suggested location at all

There are manticores in the Blood Grove, as well. I seem to get more eye drops there than anywhere else.

There aren't very many, at least not compared to all the cultists and mutants, but here I'm standing at the spot I found a pack, and another was a little to the west:

I think for farming purposes though, you'd be better off sticking to the barrens/wastes. I probably just got lucky.

I hate to be a quitter but 2.5 hours on a bounty seems alot lol cleared Jagged 4X and the BG 2 no eyeball.. must be some weird quirk.. i even changed my attacks to kill em slower nothing.. has to be 50-60 of em i killed 5-6 bosses.

I have found my manticore eyes from the boss manticore (Mogara) in the area near Pine Barrens. It's relatively rare drop so it may require lots of farming.

In other words, sometimes you just have to do multiple runs to get stuff like manticore eyes to drop once sometimes, while at other times you'll get lots. i.e. recently I've been trying to farm tainted brain for mass production of relics, but despite 3 hours of killing every Atherial boss and hero I could find over two runs, I got no drops. Saw similar clusters when farming blood of chthon, only to have 1-2 bloods drop every run for 3 or more runs.

Also, there's another spot Manticore's can spawn in Deadman's Gultch, but you have to head a bit up the aetherfire covered road til you see a gap on the right, which leads to a small area with anywhere from 5-10 Manticores.

In my experience Darius Cronley drops tainted brains moderately often. Could be just lucky, though...

Not really, I did a 20+ run set (farming DC rep and trying to get to nemesis) with only one drop sadly.
