Nemesis boss system how it work
I know this is what it says about it...
Nemesis boss spawns have been overhauled. Nemesis bosses now appear randomly nearby when you slaughter monsters of their faction that grant experience and/or infamy, with more progress granted in Challenge Areas. Nemesis bosses no longer have fixed spawn points.

So does it mean accumulative after so many mobs or is it just a random chance when killing a mob.

Also I maybe be just Overthinking it. Lol

I aint no nerd in numbers in this game. but after about 50 hours of farming nemessis bosses. it feels like increasing chance everytime you kill monster, so let's say you are farming a certain route and boss spawns everytime but sometimes earlier sometimes latter. There are exceptions Zantarin and Iron maiden those spawn extra quick and almost after same amoune of kills

The way i understand it, every kill gives you some points, heroes and bosses give more than trash mobs, and once you ger certain ammount of points for a faction, their Nemesis spawns.

Basically it works just like reputation gains, but it's hidden, cause reasons.

Question I have is for the HC folks. Are you afraid when the Nemesis boss pops up? I just started HC after all these years and that is a very valid concern of mine. =)

No. Except for Kubacabra, I almost never kill enough monsters to get Nemesis rep with anyone. To get nemesis rep with anyone else, you actually have to work at it. Don't use warrants. Recent patch nerfed Kuba spawns, so hopefully it's more manageable.

Depends on what stage of building my character I'm now

Before lvl 75 on first difficulty (and this is probably will be Kupacabra)? Maybe I just run near her not starting unwinnable fight for now

After reach ultimate but before lvl 94? Probably immediately teleported into town to escape unplanned suicide

After lvl 94 on ultimate? You don't care about less that 20 second fight with every nemesis at this stage, they are harmless here, for sure with exception like shotgun from Valdy or Zanty that could (and will) instakilled you, or Grava nullification homing missles, thankfully those attack has clear visualization

Hit the J key on your keyboard.
That will show your current Faction standings.
Those standings include Beasts, Aetherials, etc....
On how Hated, Despised, on up to Nemesis.
Once you reach Nemesis that is when the Nemesis of a particular faction can spawn.
It spawning depends on if you are grinding in one of its spawn locations.
Beasts: Kubacabra can spawn in the most places.
Others in only certain places, but more places, and more often than they used to in the past.

I play mostly in HC.
I have a few level 100 HC characters.
One has Nemesis in most of the factions.
Sadly, I am not one of those awesome min-max players that has characters that does massive DPS, so a Nemesis with my level 100 characters takes me much more time to take out than 20 seconds. Most take me 5 minutes or less.
You should not fight them toe-to-toe without moving, except maybe the Iron Maiden to avoid the Blitz attack and Fabius to avoid the Shadow Strike attack.

i think the new nemesis spawn after you kill any enemy on that area, after you kill many of them it will be spawn according to the spawner location.

I got one-shotted my first time, a couple days ago... (thankfully not on HC) and I was trying to figure out what went wrong xD All my Chaos resistance comes from Possession

Exactly. First hc character so I don't have the tons of awesome gear to equip like my non-hc characters. Cash is a pain to buy storage space. Upgrading pieces of armor slowly. Going really slow and careful and trying to not do anything stupid. It does make the game feel fresh and somewhat exciting knowing that doing something stupid has consequences.

Exactly why Grim Dawn is still the best ARPG for me. I have played Grim Dawn nearly only in HC mode, which i almost never do (or have no fun) with any other ARPG.
If you play carefully, watch out for your resistances and find the fine balance between damage and Defence (rule of thumb: enemys should never be able to crit on you, Defence tooltip is telling you the % chance; crits are beginning from 90% on), then there is nearly no one shot death around (see exklusive ones above).
I really looking forward into the new Ascension Mode, because frankly Grim Dawn is a little bid to easy at some point (if you know the mechanics and sink into it ^^).
