I finally did try Path of Exile and as I thought, I did not like it.
The Passives I had no problem with.
What I didn't like was.... a lot of games are going the Souls route when it comes to bosses.
PoE does that.
I also do not care for Seasons.
I'm a casual player.
I'm lucky to get 6 to 8 hours of game time in, in a week.
I'm also a slow player.
I don't like to rush through things.
I also do not care for Live Service.
Nothing will kill a game faster than Live Service unless it is a sports game.
In any case, I agree agree with the OP on how good GD is.
I hope the Crate team makes their own GD2 game and doesn't try to emulate other games. 😊
Poe1 as much as I liked it is way too fast now, if you ain't zooming on your build it's like in the bottom tier.
Poe2 kinda slowed it down but there are still fast builds. And it's really not souls like at all. People complain about that in poe2 but that's only because they're stuck at the low levels or early campaign or it's their first time. You absolutely demolish everything in poe2 once you realize there's some really OP skills early on.
dodge, dodge, parry, and finally attack one or two times.
kite, kite, kite, throw one spell, dodge, kite, dodge, parry, attack.
Heal, dodge, parry, heal, dodge, throw a spell.
I don't care for games where I do more dodging, rolling, healing, and kiting than attacking.
Don't get me wrong.
I'm not into easy toe-to-toe battles neither.
I like that well crafted balance.
Best crafting system.
Best loot and set items.
Chase items from bosses.
TONS of hidden areas.
btw. if you know the Vanilla game inside out i highly suggest the Mod "Reign of Terror", i have a blast with that for a few hundred hours more :)
on windows it is slow, mainly windows 11.
