Grim Dawn won't start [SOLVED]

Black window, then closes. No log, no info, no crash report...
Tried reinstalling, verifying files, repair.exe, exec as administrator, compatibility modes... same behaviour.

Hmm, repaire usually fixes this issue. Sometimes it's a full screen issue. Can you see if the game starts when you manually change your screen mode?

To do this, do the following:

1. Go to C:\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\Settings
2. Open the options.txt file
3. Change the screenMode value to 2
4. Close options.txt and run Grim Dawn.

I had the same issue, and tried all of the "fixes". Then I restarted my computer, windows installed a few updates, everything came back up and I could now launch and play the game. So, if you haven't already done so. Restart your computer.

Solved!
I kill a monitor process and it works. Seems some monitoring programs can crash GD (other game works)

What monitoring process was it?

ASMonitor.exe, for monitoring kids internet activity.

You should report it to its developer so they can check out why it's having conflict with Grim Dawn.
