Is this game still getting content updates?
Grim Dawn looks right up my alley, but I only want to get feature complete games with no planned updates left - is this already complete or should I still wait for a while?
Thanks a lot.

However there's a DLC on the way releasing (probably) this year, so it's definitely not content complete yet. Based on how it went in the past, you can also assume there'll be at least another year (possibly more) of updates coming down the road, which might or might not contain new content.

So based on your description, this game is probably not for you, and won't be for several years.

Crate are still supporting the game with patches and as Neit said there's a new expansion on the way hopefully releasing later this year. Crate will continue to support the game after that.
It is, new dlc coming

I'd say in terms of modern gaming the game is complete.
No cut out content, no missing stuff or severe bugs. All the mechanics there, all works, enough content, great game.
But there is a DLC on the horizon, also the devs still support the game and push patches from time to time adding or reworking small stuff + different minor item/balance tweaks.

Crate says otherwise. Unless something happens, it will be sometime this year.

Since I'm not sure if you've had experience with games like Grim Dawn or Diablo before, I would like to point out an important distinction between what you likely consider "complete" and what the community might understand under that terminology.

If you are asking this question from the perspective of a player that comes from games like Baldur's Gate 1/2/3 (or other "traditional" RPGs), then by "complete" you likely mean "The game has all it's main content present, such as all story and side quests and all planned base game locations, items, etc."

If that is the case, then Grim Dawn was complete for years now.

If, however, you're asking this question from the perspective of a, say, Diablo player, and by "feature complete" you mean "at the end of its update/existence cycle"... then it's a strange way to word it, because such a game can not be feature complete by definition, since every large patch the mechanics change. In a sense, "feature complete" is a meaningless phrase in such a context.

Judging by your use of "feature complete", though, I guess you belong to the former category, and you're just asking if it has a proper singleplayer campaign and relevant content, in which case the answer is "yes".
