36 for testing build survivability
It depend on difficulty too ofc, everyone talk about Ultimate usually, going to SR below max level (for gear) is waste of time imho (just do it for quest during leveling if u want - or you can return at lvl 100 even to lower difficulties to get some real loot out of it),
Otherwise used to be better go 75-76 {30-31) on normal than struggle half way on higher difficulties and I would still apply same logic. Try reach at least 25-26 on difficulty higher than where you can do reliably and faster 30-31 or betetr stay where you are. (mean eg. rather do 30-31 in elite than try push to 25-26 in Ultimate if you are not ready for it and cna not do it faster and without deaths)
As others have typed, typically you want to do shard 30 31 for easier loot or 36 37 for same thing with a challenge on top (I with friends obv do the latter to spice things up). It's also an RNG with the mutators and such but I usually don't bother wit hthat since I play softcore with dying enabled.
36-37 if pet build or playing with a pet build. Otherwise too slow a grind to be cost effective.
90 was best loot before patch. Mow 37 is almost the best. Not exactly sure, but I think you have to play from 36 to 38 for loot equal to 90 before patch. Starting on 38 is no loot.
