While his actions are not human friendly, I still consider him partly good... have no comment on The witch 3 cult (dreeg, solael and bysmiel) who tries to take him down in order to replace him because I don't see it as a good ending either.
It always came down to a conclusion to pick lesser of two evils. Part of me also believes Empyrion is indeed Korvaak in disguise but then again they could be brothers which is a good mystery there to left out on...
EDIT: I also remembered that Mogdrogen was not happy about it either, so there's that.
The Three are up to something, because Mogdrogen wanted to grab Rhowari and run away ASAP once Korvaak gets released and destroys the world of GD, but once Korvaak gets defeated, he's genuinely shocked.
There is also this Yugol entity that Magus Morgoneth tapped on. It's apparently such threat that Magus alone requires certain countermeasures that are known as Callagadra.
So the question isn't whether a God is "good" or "evil" but whether said God is friendly to humanities' goals and continued existence or not, in which case the gods (with a lower case g) that used to be human are usually the better choice.
