(Critical, severe, and serious!) Superbly, 10,000-infinite shared item slots/200-infinite shared stash tabs greatly demanded (Feedback, advice, and suggestion)
Seriously, I am supremely demanding 10,000-infinite shared item slots/200-infinite shared stash tabs demanded in Grim Dawn, exceedingly. Another serious problem after finished story is insufficient shared stash tabs/insufficient shared item slots that must be used while playing after finished story, therefore everyone must have infinite shared stash tab expansion feature/infinite shared item slot expansion feature. Goal is 'everyone owned Grim Dawn can expand shared stash tab number/shared item slot number as much as everyone needs.'.

Item Assistant or GDstash or, i forget the name of the manual stash ledger constantly..
devs reject putting infinite storage into game and directs to using the tools instead if desired
*iirc it was still dismissed after FoA reveal too/again

That's going to be a long wait, since it was clearly communicated, that this is not going to happen.

What you are looking for is Grim Dawn Item Assistant:
https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/tool-grim-dawn-item-assistant/30491
It's third party tool that does exactly what you want.

Why didn’t they add it? The feature is tremendous to everyone playing the game. Perhaps, the feature is in prequel, sequel, Grim Dawn II, and/or Grim Dawn

i don't remember the full take (long post), but part of the TLDR reason is they wanted there to be some meaning/decision to item keeping, so players didn't just hoover up everything and store all items that dropped without caring

That was not a good idea. If I really lived in Grim Dawn world, I would search/craft/buy massive stashes and stash tabs for myself. Seriously, I think they were not deepest down in Grim Dawn world.

It's a design descision. There's simply no good answer to inventory management.

If the storage is unliimted, people will throw every random trash there, suddenly you have to make search function powerful enough so it can handle that, and most of the loot becomes meaninglessly lost in the void, since it will never be used.

If the storage is limited, people have to make a choice and keep what they think is worth it. You can discuss how big/small it should be, but in the end you have to set the number. This makes items actually worth looking at, you can also scrap excess items and get components or sell them, since you are not compelled to throw them into the void.

What does/doesn't make sense in the game world is secondary to how the game is played and designed.

Actually, everyone could use unlimited infinite shared stashes, stash tabs, and item slots in path(s) they wanted. One(s) knew how to use unlimited infinite shared stashes, stash tabs, and item slots. One(s) did not know how to use unlimited infinite shared stashes, stash tabs, and item slots. Seriously, Grim Dawn’s developers and creators did not have to know how everyone used unlimited infinite shared stashes, stash tabs, and item slots.

Good luck going weird philosophical 'if i lived in..' to win an argument. Devs made their choice. Its not changing. Use tools. No amount of 'BUT I F I LIVED IN.' is going to fix that nor really change anyones opinions. Its plenty of stash for casual/choiceful play. You also sound a bit bot-like. Maybe just weird translations. In any case, its settled. Relax and enjoy the game for what it does offer instead.

If you really lived in Grim Dawn world you'd have to spend a lot of money on stuff like food or shelter. You would actually have to pay smuggler to keep your stuff safe, instead of that being free service, otherwise people would loot it and you'd have nothing. And that does not pair well with infinite storage at all.

You would also die permanently and never respawn, if you get hurt, it would take long time to recover, if you die, it's permanent. If you get sick, you are highly likely to die, it won't disappear after few seconds. More severe injury puts you out of business for a long time, if not permanently.

You definitely wouldn't conjure up infinite storage out of nowhere, and definitely not for everyone.

No, not that path. Were you wondering where they brought stashes, stash tabs, and chests on sale to everyone? Were stashes, stash tabs, and chests crafted/collected from somewhere/someplace? I knew devs and creators were excusing. If I were devs and creators, I would make the feature happened. Seriously, many people were not deep down in the video game world. You lived as character that you wanted, you had abilities like the character you selected.

"IMayBackstab: @CrateEntertainment any plans to assimilate some of these inventory/stash mods for a 5 or 10 dollar fee? Your players would be happy to spend that while also not splintering the player base as much with mods

I mean the people who have created these utilities for you guys have done them from their own free will for free and us basically taking that and charging money for it seems very unfair to them. And from our development perspective we have design decisions for why the bags are limited as they are. It is not just arbitrarily limited to screw you guys over, there are genuine reasons why that isn't the case. But for those of you who want more stash space, that is why we allow modding and that is why you can use those utilities so you can have as much space as you want and because they work outside of the game they don't splinter the player base. You can't only play with people who use GDStash or GDIA, like you can play with everybody."

They have said they're trying to do something about storing components/crafting materials separately with the new expansion, but that's it far as I know.

New expansion may be being released someday. Or prequel, sequel, Grim Dawn II, and/or Grim Dawn, then.
