Will changing the difficulty to Elite reset my character level?

I was wondering what will be gone from my progress when i start moving to Elite, just to get prepared :)

Story progress resets. That's it. You'll be back at devil's crossing ready to set out to kill the warden again. You get to keep your rep, items, level, literally everything except story progress (this includes mutually exclusive quests, you can choose to aid a different faction at homestead). You can go back to normal anytime if you want to after starting elite. Keep in mind that besides increased monster strength, elite, and ultimate, reduce your resistances. -25% for the top row for elite and -50% total for both rows besides physical for ultimate.

Story, quests and shrines reset so you can do them again.

Resistance hits - incorrect phenir. Elite the top row is hit for 25%; in Ultimate that hit goes up to 50% for the top, but it's only 25% for the bottom (except for physical).

I got a question, if I change the difficulty and am getting felted, can I switch back to normal and still have my progress in the story?
