Real Time clock gone for good?
I started playing again and i noticed i can't find the button to toggle the green font real time clock in the upper centre of the screen.

Was this option moved someplace or is it gone? That clock was a life saver since this game can eat your free time like a hungry hungry hippo.

clock was (sadly) changed to be more discrete, now uses regular GD text font and the gold/brown color and is set up top left under the difficulty tag

Yeah, I'm with you, old version was definitely better. It's easy to lose track of time when playing, having it in the middle of the screen helped with that. New clock can be barely readable in certain locations.

I would recommend to all gamers who like a clock on screen to get Rainmeter. It comes with lots of "meters" but you can close them and keep the clock, make it always on top and as long as your game runs in border-less full-screen mode as grim dawn and most of my games do , you can then position it anywhere you want on the screen, its a 24 hour clock and has the day on the right the date on the left. Its one of those apps that since I got it I cannot imagine living without it. https://www.rainmeter.net/ - you can go nuts with it it has loads of stuff, but I just use it for the clock.

Just remember to look out the window every now and then and you're good. If the sun is not up, there's still time (vice versa if you do night shift...).

Just buy a desk clock or something...

Jeez how did we manage to tell the time before gaming was invented?

Idk man, mum was usually pretty accurate with the time thing. But when I hooked up in video games mum don't talk to me no more, so now games let me know of the time. And it's usually accurate too, if the game has the clock that is.

I liked the clock beforehand as well. It was more readable so to say when it was on upper middle not left. Also the green color of it stood out.

Other than that pretty good upgrade on all fronts.

EDIT: by upgrade I mean the rest of the stuff devs added,

I haven't even seen the new clock yet, where do you exactly activate it? I've tried looking a few times but haven't found it. I did like the old clock though, so I presume I'll share the same opinion that it was better.

Edit: Found it finally. Yeah I get why the made the clock like that, but having the option of having the old clock would be nice.

I mean it gets pitch black by 16:00 (4PM) in here right now, so that doesn't really work too well.

steam overlay has a clock that you can set to different transparency levels and position anywhere you like on the screen. While ingame, just press SHIFT + TAB to open the steam overlay, then chose clock, it is one of the buttons on the bottom. I usually place the time on the top left of the screen and set it to maximum transparency.

I keep a small illuminated desk clock.
No need for a computer screen clock. 😊

The people DEMAND the old clock back, Zantai!

I also prefer the older version. I'll probably get used to the new one, but does seem like a downgrade.

The sun casting a shadow on a slab of stone. However, that creates glare on the screen, so shades stay shut.
