Mmhhh One Shot Bosses...no good idea
Seriously, i don't wanna cry to much but in fact to be one shotet by a Boss at range in 0,5sec, despite the fact of Max Resi and several layers of Autoheal at certain Tresholds of Health is imo very frustrating (of course speaking about HC).
I like the idea of the new +X% incoming damage but a Boss should not be capable of debuffing and doing damage in such a fast time, that the player is not capable of dodging the attack.

So to any HC char out there: You should really avoid the Colossus in the Arena. First Phase is more then okay but it's reborn form....man...... :(

Wait for Benn'Jahr, the colossal, its ,,Sundereal'' without decent entrapment resist. Also muts like total damage % isnt fun either, lol.

Yeah. I created a wonderful Cadense death knight for facetanking celestials, but as soon as I hit my lvl 100, the patch came and now Ravager of Minds with Sundered effect and arcane totems deletes me instantly)

Removing the chance for bosses to oneshot weak def/res builds removes most of the challenge of HC and most of the purpose of def/res.

Sounds like celestials and nemesis are back to being more than mere punching bags, time to adapt and improvise!

I was never that good to see celestials as punching bags, so instead I definitely feel like a bag now :D

Right now I'm in a full Hollow Knight mode. (go, die, try to learn, repeat) Running into Mogdrogen to learn how to dodge the Sundered effect. Somehow I can't understand the time lag between the moment of casting and applying. And as soon as Mog sunders me, I'm dead. (DKnight, 20k hp, 3100 armor, 2870 DA, max res on everything)

I have to change my mind: Coming back with my Level 100 Paladin/Potioned up --> The best he was able to do was to bring my 33k HP down to 28Hp for a tiny moment. lol

So in fact that was a coincidence of bad luck and not prepared well :)

Still best ARPG of all time :paperheart:

There's no adapting to being instantly killed lol I think that's the point
If you need meta knowledge to play hardcore, well, that hardcore isn't very well designed

This. You still need overcapped resists for superbosses and some enemies. Avatar, for example, still has 80 elemental resist shred. Ascended spellbreakers and possessed archmages still have a unique debuff (unique debuffs were specifically mentioned to not be removed in the notes) that shreds elemental and aether resist, 35% and 28% respectively.

Far more important (beside the Resis) are the dodging of the sunder debuff. From Ilgorr the eternal you get +73% more incoming damage from all sources. Specially in SR this is ridiculous, if you have to fight vs. several Bosses at once. So far i'm to stupid to dodge his sunder attack. Seems to me that he have two. Sometimes he is attacking only in melle...fine you are capable of dodging this.....but his spikes shooting nearly over the whole screen are debuffing now and then, too.
Imo the time between the sunder casts should be watched. Sometimes i have around 3s till the next...sometimes he is casting thin nearly in chain for several seconds.

Really don't know if i like this new mechanic.......or to be more precise: They have to balance it a little bid more...maybe ^^

I think some tweaking is necessary. It has to be deeper. Right now, the way I see it, the devs made the game harder by presenting a minigame called "press dodge to avoid sunder or die". And that takes some concentration away.

(I'm very curious, how many old and powerful hardcore characters have already died because of it. I shudder to think)

Okay, run at SR23 into Iron Maiden and her Sunder mechanic it at first ridiculous...because it is a charge attack. BUT. If you stay in close combat she never proc a sunder attack again (at least in my battle). Glad i play a melee char but i can't see any range doing this..rofl

On SR 26 i run into Volkanax and Akanax...R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S. They heal each other endlessly. Lazy design that the Mobs have no Energy at all. So annoying.....
