potion and regeneration?
I often need potions and the reload is very slow, the old way is much better and more effective

Agreed. Wish this change was an option

The only change to potions is that they don't clutter up your inventory now. Nothing else.

They're unlimited right? That's a change

cooldown and duration is the same as before, keybind is the same as before, the button just moved on your hotbar, that's it

No that's not a change, you could easily carry 100's on you making it unlimited so no change. Also if your relying on that many potion you are probably lacking the build (defense) or player skill department. There is absolutely no change to potions at all.

Speaks of a change then says it's not a change.

Mkay

Not a fan of unlimited potions. Idc if you like it but that's my opinion on the matter

Have you ever actually run out of potions? In 1400+ hours of this game...I haven't. It was just inventory/drop clutter.

I only ever carried a stack of like 20 on me at a time. If I picked up more that's one thing but yeah. I sold off all the excess most of the time but I liked them not just being infinite. It feels like this removes any real strategy to me because you always know you can just heal if you wait out the clock

So you intentionally didn't even carry a full stack to create an artificial sense of risk? So your issue is less the changes and more the very specific way you want to play is no longer available? Because in general, a single stack of potions, is functionally unlimited.

[Edit] Have you tried Hardcore mode? If you want more risk and to feel like waiting out potion CD isn't an option, I'd strongly suggest giving it a try.

The game is not going to be balanced around your specific self-imposed rules. Sorry. :winter2019neutralyul:

It never was. The fact that it took up inventory space like nearly every other game in the genre was never a big deal. I never wanted the game balanced around my specific play style. But the game has had potions that took up inventory space and they were finite since it was released. Changing it now after all this time is just kind of goofy and making them literally completely unlimited is a really bad design choice in my opinion. It has nothing to do with my playstyle or anything.

Just the fact that healing is now unlimited based on time is lame to me.

No clown award for you. Straw man arguments earn nothing.

You still had them unlimited, had ♥♥♥♥ ton of potions just taking up space. You just want something to cry about

infinitely replenished automatically is basically the same as something "finite" being infinite...
Porked! Nov 16, 2023 @ 10:44am
It was not infinite, yeah, but the numbers keep going up rather than down even after heavy usage means it's going to take pretty much infinite amount of time to down them all... and this update effectively made no change to that behavior. Thus, it's not a change at all.

We gonna play chess here?
