Of course GD. Titan quest is similar, but faster and more simplistic. Which is both for better and for worse. D3 is casual to the bone, if that's your cup of tea. POE is a bloated mess. D2 is dated as ♥♥♥♥.
Diablo 1 is a slow, tense, horror action rpg. Even today the ambiance and the slow pace give it a very tense atmosphere, especially on your first playthrough.
Diablo 2 is what made the "modern" arpg, and while Diablo 2 Resurrected updated the graphics and gave some QoL improvements, it still feels very dated, so take it or leave it.
Diablo 3 has developed into a very casual, beer-and-pretzels type of arpg that you play to have a good time but don't worry too much about optimization unless you are grinding for deep, deep endgame content.
Titan Quest...can't say I've played it myself, but I hear it plays like Grim Dawn, but far simpler.
Grim Dawn is far deeper than the likes of Diablo 2, with much more variety and a deep, underappreciated lore. My main issue is that some game mechanics like damage type conversion aren't as transparent as I'd like, but a quick visit to the game guide or wiki will solve those questions.
Path of Exile is for people who like taking the convolution up to 100, with several more levels of RNG taking place in gear drops (especially rolling gear sockets) and far less forgiving when it comes to respeccing characters. Expect to need an online build guide if you don't want to waste hundreds of hours at a time experamenting.
A newer game I've tried out recently is Last Epoch, currently in early access. It takes a lot of what made games like Grim Dawn and Path of Exile good, and basically copies the formula to a T, making the gameplay fun and intuitive, with a unique skill upgrade mechanic that goes beyond even what Grim Dawn is capable of. I have three main issues with it, though: first, the camera is far too close, I like my ARPG camera set plenty far away as can be set with Grim Dawn or Diablo 2. Second, its story and setting is broad as an ocean, but shallow as a puddle, and if you're someone like me who needs to get immersed in the story, you might lose interest. Third, its boss battles rely heavily on telegraphed attacks and dodging glowing regions on the ground, and later bosses will one-shot even tanky characters who get caught in those attacks, which isn't really the type of fun I like personally. However, the game is still getting updates as it's in early access, so you may want to give it a shot.
Last Epoch is looking promising, and you can get a lot of time out of it if you just like playing around with different builds. It still needs a lot of work, though.
Chronicon is an indie aRPG, but it's really good as well.
Sink your time into all three, that's what I've done :)
D2 resurrected is the better option vs the original if you say "dated"
Doesnt help that LE has shifted off its path recently and people took notice. Check on it yourself sometime, most wont know what I mean but most will.

Ah, no. Monsters don't respawn in TQ until you start a new play session, exactly the same way as GD works since GD is TQ's spiritual successor.
Yep I uninstalled that ♥♥♥♥♥ a while ago. Boring. Avoid
