isaac's stash?

OK, I'm confused. I'm in the woods, I stumble across a house with a trapdoor. Like a good little adventurer, I explor it. Inside I find, along with a bunch of guys wearing goofy hates (I want one) a dying man. He tells me to follow the river to find his stash. I do so, and find nothing. After a while, I look it up and find that I was looking in the right spot but there's just no stash for me. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a quest I'm supposed to start somewhere else (If so it seems kinda dumb to not be able to follow his advice on a stash until I start the quest from a random NPC...)

The stash is located in a tree trunk. If you already looted it before getting the actual quest it won't be there and you will have then already completed the quest.

If you have already looted the stash before finding Isaac(which I have done), you get a conversation option along the lines of "I already found it", and he will answer something like: "I should have hidden it better".

I honestly don't remember ever finding it. Eh, maybe the loot just sucked and made it less memorable.

Yup, that's where I went. I swear I never got that stash, but then again this is beta (or alpha I can't remember) so it could be bugged. Or, as I said, maybe during my clicking to attack the enemies the first time I went there, I accidentally clicked on it without noticing and just thought the loot drops were from an enemy.

Yeah I don't recall that the loot drop is anything special. I think it was just a couple of standard yellow items, no greens or blues.

Blues...yeah, those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I've gotten three blues in my playthrough (Just beat warden) and...they were all the same damn thing. Spikey shoulder pads. I mean I liked them but after the first time I was like "nooooo I already has that...."

Blue and green drop rates will be increased in the next build as well as chances in encountering hero bosses.

Any idea when the next build will be? And will Dual Wield get a buff? I managed to finish the game with it but 80% of the time I was just running away from enemies and throwing my daggers at them. Increasing my attack speed helped a lot but made it so that all my gem/necklace/etc. slots were used up by attack speed effects.

strange i have gotten blue items from that stash...

Looks like whenever you loot the stash before you get the quest you will not receive a reward for completing (besides the loot of course). Cannot check further since there is no list of already solved quests.

There is a green semi-unique item in Isaac's stash. It will be a set of spaulders. They will say "Isaac's Spaulders of Pysche", or some such. It is random each time you get the quest. Sometimes the spaulders will be pretty decent. One of my characters has been using them for a long time, simply because I haven't found anything better..

Thanks for sharing this. I was running around the whole map area trying to figure out what a "delta" looks like.
