Your Boss Killer build
My soldier uses Cadence and Forcewave and is my go-to Boss killer. He can easily run past huge groups of mobs in veteran, getting hit often, and has high survivability (doesn't need a potion while face tanking Cronley for example). Cadence hits huge with my 2H (usually see things like 1659x2, or even 7560 rarely).

But, he is slow killing groups sometimes, and can be overwhelmed with multiple debuffs (like in the Steps). If Blitz worked, it would help to escape those situations, but alas.

So I tried the other classes and go them all to 24, but they are just so weak, even with blues gathered by my soldier. None of them can just run/walk through huge groups of mobs (need potions), take much longer to kill bosses (have to kite, or run away to get potion CD up), and need potions often.

I love the Occultist for groups; Dreeg's eye with the AOE and a minor in the spreading disease thing, melts groups. But; he gets mobbed and dies.

What is your go-to Boss Killer? If something other than soldier, what skills do you use, and how do you play?

i use a duel wield bladmaster that mauls everything that gets thrown at me. 2k dps which goes up to 3.5k when my talisman goes off. i use a lot of lifesteal as well so even with 2.6k hp i still am able to keep topped off. i pretty much just spam pneumatic burst and let all the chance on hit auto attacks butcher everything else. i use bladebarrier as an oh ♥♥♥♥ button.

whirling death is more then enough aoe to mow groups down when your attack speed is very high

Grenado and Blackwater cocktail are two good skills for killing bosses.

You could shave enough points here and there off some of your maxed Soldier skills and put em into Bloody Pox. That'll soften up the crowds for ya. Then maybe consider putting points into Blade Arc in the soldier tree, or even leave Pox out of it and go even more into Blade Arc.

Soldier has the AoE with Blade and Blitz. I understand the frustration with Blitz but once you learn to recognize the situations that cause it to bug out you can minimize the occurrences.

Maxed out force-wave tree with high-ish health and +shield block and menhir's will. Needs more vitality/bleed resistance but quite happily tanks most bosses and carves through mobs.

Building up a grenado based commando at the moment that uses firestrike for extra physical damage and canister bomb and ulzens vengence for dealing with mobs, does need to kite, but that's due to not being geared out for high resistances/armour at present.

Max Veil of Shadows, Night chill and Merciless repertoire. Dual wield reapers touch.

Normal mobs just die from the Night Chill aura and bosses have such low cold/pierce resistances that you slice through them. Just watch out for reflective builds, as you will blow yourself up.

except when they deflect, which is pretty much all the time :D

Thankfully the dev's are looking into that

Well, 80% of the time :P

But yeah, my commando has firestike and candence with her mace for that reason.

I'm critting Cronley for up to 11k damage now with my new hammer :

Slowly working on the other characters, but I can't see any of them being a better boss killer. The damage plus the survivability is just too good.

Need to bump up my vitality resists, and I'll test myself out on the Steps again.
