fire% dmg also increases burning damage ?

Nope. Burn% increases burn damage. Fire% increases fire damage.

Elemental should boost both.
I am not sure about total damage. Until recently I would say it boosts both as well, but as total damage does not boost retaliation based damage, it might also differentiate between direct damage(fire) and DoT(burn).

Elemental boosts only direct damage (fire, lightning, cold), Total boosts all non-retaliation damages. Basically nothing boosts retaliation damage.

There are a few retaliation % boosts but they are rare.

If there is one thing I would like implemented, it would be a better overview on which stats boosts what. It helped a lot with the new character sheet, though.

It doesnt have to be in the character sheet page either. If I was able to look it up in the "help tips"-tutorial, it would be perfect.
