Best class combo for primal strike?
Hello, as in the title, I would like to know your opinion on that subject. I was thinking either melee or ranged, for ranged I was thinking about inquisitor. Thanks for your ideas in advance!

I'm using a Druid right now and it's great.
Putting points in Inner Focus has really helped allow me to keep Primal Strike as my default attack, which can start to be an energy drain if you don't load up on gear with regeneration, which I tend to want to forgo in favor of more defense oriented stuff.

Soldier, Demo, Arcanist, Inquisitor I believe would be most suitable ones.

Which one would be the most suitable from all is very hard to tell because it depends on what gamestyle and weapons you choose to play with.

Try Demo + Shaman, the power of fire and storm.
And they can use any weapon.

Arcanist or Occultist, Inquisitor if you want to lose Stormcaller's Pact
i do not recommend Soldier, as it brings nothing to the lightning table, nor would i recommend Demo as mines are gonna be fiddly af, and you'll be busy as is spamming wind devils

I was also thinking about doing trickster with savagery as main source of dmg and primal strike as secondary, but druid looks great as well. I just want to use primal strike so much nostalgia in that skill and never made it to the end game.

If you want to get quirky, you could take Occultist or Oathkeeper and use the Rotgheist set for vitality Primal Strike. I've got a character like that and it's fun.

Also Warders are fun as well.

Warder is one of the best easily. Soldier doesn't support lighting, but it supports everything a bit and makes you tankier. Damage won't really be problem with right gear.

The nice thing about Soldier is that it lets you cover things like armor absorption and resists with the Soldier passives, which frees up item/augment/component slots for supporting the rest of the build, though it's usually a matter of sheer convenience and being easier to start/level up from first level as a Soldier. Past Veteran, Elementalist starts pulling ahead pretty hard due to more robust RR and damage support as long as you're finding the items you need.
warder is good for HC because tankiness, but it doesn't remotely begin to compare dmg wise to the other classes because soldier just adds nothing offensive to a PS build, and defensive passives doesn't equate to mastery amount of dmg or rr in terms of gear/component/aug swap
and what a PS build desperately needs is dmg, because PS has crapola ST dmg

Once you get Demo side high enough you can start pumping things like Blast Shield and Temper anyway to bolster an Ele a bit. There's also something to be said for "they can't hurt you if they're dead". Also, Flashbang/Searing Light gives you a bit of a "proactive" defense.

unsure what "demo side" has to do with the mention of Warder (sham+soldier) for a Primal Strike build ? - unless you're just referring to mentalist > warder in general ?

Just Ele vs. Warder in general. Like I said past Veteran Warder starts falling behind pretty hard. Once you've got Shaman filled out and you're piling points into Demo sometime in Elite it becomes strictly the Ele's game.

I had a lot of fun with a cooldown removed Primal Strike. Was using it and spamming out Wind Devils. Used a Crossbow but works with 2h melee as well.

Second class you want to pick for supporting abilities. Soldier, Oath and Night offer solid passive support and a movement ability to help you get around.

what? :wombatthink:
that's like, the worst combos to pair with primal strike spamming Shaman, unless you're doing a silly pierce/cold PS, which mainly is availble at 90+, or a vitality PS spam archon, which is not gonna be fun compared to any other dmg type
