Tbh, with the new expansion coming up, i can play this game for many more years. Already playing almost 10 years now. almost my 5th lvl 100 class now and i want to roll many more. Not many arpg's do that for me.

I don't want a sequel to Grim Dawn. The game is perfect as it is and I will enjoy it for more years to come. What makes Grim Dawn a cult classic is that it has always been a "complete game" without any FOMO items and micro-transactions. It makes it so easy to come back to any time. I have a lot of games in my library and I always try to play a new game just to keep the backlogs in check but GD has always been the single game that I go back to whenever I get tired of playing other games. Let's face it, if a GD2 is going to come out in the future, it will somewhat take away some of the magic of the first game. GD as it stands has all the expansions, the updates and balancing tweaks done to it over the years to make it as enjoyable as possible for new and veteran players alike. Sure if a GD2 will come out it will have better graphics and modern features but will it necessarily be a better game? The current engine works and it works wonderfully. The only thing we need for GD are more expansions. Besides, if a GD2 will come out, it will go through early access, bug fixing, more updates, more tweaks, waiting for expansions, and that's at least 5 years or more of development just to even get it on par with the size of the current game. And yes by that time GD2 comes out, some of us won't even be here to enjoy it anymore.
