Why u used Destruction? nothing acid damage here.
I'd totally go with the Hellhound over the Raven - the hound can tank better and works much better with several of the poison/acid Devotion abilities such as the Scorpion's Sting/Eye of the Guardian - two constellations that you'll probably be taking due to them giving good boosts to poison/acid damage.
I've gotten massive usage out of Blood of Dreeg and Armor of the Guardian - as a pure caster you'll be rather squishy so having a heal + armor boost is really nice. Plus Blood of Dreeg gives a bonus to acid damage and heals your pet(s) too.
If you're going to invest that many points into Dreeg's Evil Eye I wouldn't take the mutator. Its my bread and butter right-click ability and clears groups awesomly fast, it also allows for easy kiting against bosses - shoot'em 1-2 times with the Eye and then kite as they take thousands of poison damage.
Soleal's Witchfire doesn't go with Eye of Dreeg at all. Its meant for melee builds (don't be fooled by the +50% poison damage).
Doom Bolt is a nice nuke but damn it sucks a lot of energy. If you're going to 12/12 it make sure you actually remember to use it - that 10 second cooldown can cause you to not cast it when you really should remember to.
Havn't taken Sigil of Consuption myself - Dreeg's Evil Eye is all the AoE damage you'll need and the Sigil doesn't benefit from poison/acid damage, two damage types you'll be stacking skyhigh. For healing Blood of Dreeg/Armor of the Guardian is more reliable.
Having taken your suggestions into consideration, this is what I've come up with http://grimcalc.com/build/HM5ijQ what about attributes? I figured 30/30 physique/spirit or 20/40.
Edit - Build link updated.
So something like this http://grimcalc.com/build/cZ4g5O you have 4 spare points.
Any leftover points you have I'd put into either your Hellhounds Infernal Breath, Possession or 1 point into the Raven and then some points into its heal ability.
As for Devotion I'm eventually making my way to the Abomination in the lower left corner for the big boost to offensive ability, poison/acid damage, and the huge AoE poison ability it has. I snagged the Tortoise for it's Shell ability (assigned to Blood of Dreeg) because you'll be squishy. Then I maxed the Scorpion (and assigned it's Sting ability to the Hellhound) The Eye constellation (assigned its ability to my Eye of Dreeg) and when I get enough points I'll take the Jackal and Ghoul (mainly because I need some of the red affinity to unlock the Abomination constellation).
Eye of Dreeg is gonna be something you'll spam and just nuke apart large groups so you should gear to empower it as much as you can. Homestead rep can get you a really good offhand tome, Rover rep can get you some gloves and a ring/neck I think. Devil's Crossing rep can get you a medal I think. The weapon I'm using is actually a quest reward (Manticore Sword or something like that from the killing of the Manticore quest) because I've yet to find something better. I've got Mark of Dreeg component in my sword as it boosts poison/acid and most importantly gives you another poison/acid Eye spell to cast! In my offhand I have a Bilestone that grants a poison/acid boosting aura. My relic is Corruption because the Blight recipe still hasn't dropped for me. =/
Energy drain might become an issue but +energy per second and %increase to energy regen is fairly common on gear. Also, spirit potions are pretty common as well.
Its a powerful build with tons of AoE damage and quick group clearing, also, all the poison damage makes it easy to kite bosses or anything for that matter. The biggest downside is damn, you're squishy. The Tortoise Shell Devotion ability helps but if you get caught in melee range and get smashed on just be prepared to pop Blood of Dreeg and a health potion if need be. You may favor Defensive Ability over Offensive...
