Barrowholm Faction Question
Hello. Please, I have a doubt, It would be nice if you could help me: I created a ritualist (necromancer+shaman) some time ago, and in normal/veteran I choose to be hostile against Barrowholm. But now I have optimized my build in order to start Elite with him, and my ritualist is a vitality shaman, then, for roleplaying, I regret, because having the Barrowholm cannibal concept and the summoning flask would have been nice for him and I want them. My question is: in Elite and Veteran I will have the option of become friendly/hostile again, or they will "remember" my choise and will be hostile forever?
Depending of your answer I will start elite with this character or better create a new one with the same build...

yes you will get the option to be friendly/hostile again on Elite/Ultimate (veteran is same as normal)
remember final choice counts, reputation carries forth and back, so if you go friendly on Ult you'll be friendly on all 3 difficulties, with what that entails minus quest triggers as you don't get retroactively access to new faction quests on already made choices in earlier difficulty
(ie you go hostile on Elite to access Cellar, but go friendly on Ultimate, you lose access to cellar on Elite, likewise if you went on Hostile on Normal, but friendly on Ultimate, you cant' fight ravager on Normal since no quest access for Normal version)

Yay! Thank you! You're a literal hundred-hours saver! My vitality shaman can start elite then!
Thanks for the tips about retroactivity, that's a true complete answer! :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

Well you got the important answer already, but I will still chime in.

Unlike Outcast, Barrowholm is quite significant faction when it comes to rewards and honestly, 99% cases, gameplay-wise it's better to go friendly. Barrowholm augments are often better version of augments from another faction, so they might not be necessary, but are often helpful. Items they sell are also quite nice for majority of darker-themed builds.

More importantly, siding with Barrowholm grants you access to The Feast quests, which provides additional spawns in Gloomwald and Ugdenbog, which can help with farming certain MIs or crafting resources. You also get access to Ravager.

Going against Barrowholm will only grant you access to Namadea and Reaper. Unless you specifically need one or more of the 4 MIs those 2 enemies provide, you probably do not want to go hostile. Even then, Reaper and his MIs are quite common in SR, no matter the alignment.

Uh, interesting. Nice data. I normally enjoy roleplaying choises, unless it was too detrimental for my convenience (my evil character didn't killed Isaiah Reddan, he just robbed him). But you have given me good reasons about Barrowholm's benefits. Anyways, my saint warrior and my druid will wipe out all the meat out of them in the name of Empyrion and Mogdrogen! Hahahaha!

Thanks, :) I will take your suggestions into account for my dark characters... the majority of them.

Good luck! :steamhappy:

Every single one of my characters except for my Blademaster is friendly with Barrowholm for the above reasons.
