Maybe a Fiendblood Spellblade: http://gracefuldusk.appspot.com/items/5622-Fiendblood-Spellblade but in that instance you would need adequate (270) Cunning in order to equip it.
Otherwise anything with pet stats. Sadly, most shields have no pet stats on them; only Lichguard has some Pet Health: http://gracefuldusk.appspot.com/items/1338-Lichguard
Either way, its worth noting that Curse of Frailty usually winds up pulling aggro onto your player character rather than your pets. Aggro mechanics in Grim Dawn are kinda funky.

Fiendblood Spellblade is the best pet master weapon in game ATM who knows what be best when legendaries turn up though.
The Black Grimoire of Og'Napesh is a focus/off hand and can be used with the Fiendblood Spellblade.
Stats wise as a pet master you should only spend what you need for gear nothing more until we see what the new lengendaries are. Since it be horrible if we spent our points in say Physique and now cant get enough spirit/cunning to equipt the new god tier items.
In genenal for all charaters it should be stat for gear requirements then the rest based on what you need. Physique = more DA & health, Spirit = More energy and magic damage Cunning = more OA (hit and crit chance) and non magic damage.
