DLC sale?
Are there any discounts on DLC? I sometimes go to the page, discounts are only for the base game

Yes, the DLC goes on sale along with the game sometimes. I had gotten the DLC and the game when they were all on sale for 40-60% off.

on discount fairly regular even if not during every event/sale like other games
*also keep in mind, if you're on steam you can include Humble bundle sales since that store gives steam keys, potentially "doubling" the frequency of DLC's discount sales

It’s a 2016 game that has been on my Wishlist for a long, long time. Regarding discounts, they seem to do that really annoying thing where the “base”(incomplete) game will be 80% off, but then you look at the store page and the complete experience still sets you back 60 bucks or more. It’s a common fishing tactic with popular games, Hitman being another egregious example.

I think the next big sale will probably be the Steam autumn sale. I couldn't wait I bought the first DLC full price. And it has nothing to do with dong-riding "I would buy it 10 more times for 100x the price just to support these devs!" --- comments like those make me want to puke. To be clear, these devs are awesome, dong-riding is not.

you're looking at the wrong package then
the definite edition is it, and it goes for like around 30bucks when the expansions are also discounted
the other package includes the unrelated game Farthest Frontier (City builder) so that pumps up the price a good bit
*the definitive edition will factor in the DLC discounts, they just have to actually be discounted for it to happen

The devs made recently clear that this is a low price option to test the game. You don't miss anything until you finish the campaign the fist time and by that you had about 40-60 hours fun for a pretty low budget. DLC add new areas opening up when completing the base game campaign.
The game is dense of content, still get updates and have a fair pricing. You can play it offline and there are no micro-transactions or other questionable sales practice in this game.
No idea why you are still waiting, but you have already missed a great amount of time of great gameplay. If you are on the fence, I can only recommand this game. But your money, your choice.

Speaking of "comments that make me want to puke" I could really do without the repetitions of "dong-riding," thank you.
