Mine is missing everywhere. You can tell it's there because UI elements change color when the cursor hovers over them, but it's invisible.
Makes using the map especially frustrating.

Thanks but unfortunately nothing there worked.
I posted on the forum here and was able to figure out that it seems to be caused by how the trackpad/right joystick mapped in the official layout. It just says "Camera" but if you switch to a KB+M layout, the cursor appears and works fine.
Unfortunately the game seems unable to handle context switching between controller and mouse, so using the official layout with the trackpad set to mouse doesn't work.. Bummer. Hope they can get this figured out soon.

I tried setting the --hide-cursor-delay 3000 \ to --hide-cursor-delay -1 \ as well as --hide-cursor-delay 0 \ , but neither worked. I then just used a large int value like --hide-cursor-delay 210000000 \ which sort of works. So I only have to either tap on the screen or use use the "Steam" button + Right track-pad at the beginning of the game to get the cursor to show up once, then it will stay active for an entire game session.
Again, it's not really a "fix" but it at least lets me continue to use my customized official layout with the track-pad cursor.
Hope this gets resolved soon. Anyone discovering a fix please post ty!
I bought my Steam deck almost exclusively to play Grim Dawn when I can't get to my desktop PC. After just over 1700 wonderful hours of play (most of them on the deck), the missing cursor is a disaster, especially with traders, crafting, skills and devotions.
After a sleepless night, my current solution by changing the controller settings (UI Controls) is as follows:
Left Trackpad Behavior --> Mouse
Touch (Release Press) --> Interact
Buttons (Back Grips - R4) --> Show Keyboard
This allows you to quickly navigate to an input field, for example, and releasing the trackpad immediately activates this field (i.e. the cursor flashes and expects a keyboard input). I then press R4, which opens Steam's overlay keyboard, which allows me to enter text quite easily.
I will probably refine this further for myself and possibly change the Release Press functionality, as this can lead to errors when assigning skill and devotion points, but for now it works quite well.
Have fun playing!
Unfortunately that's doesn't help me:(
For me it's difficult to see where my cursor is in the inventory.
They should make it more highlighted I think
Here is my fix for this issue:
Open GD on Steamdeck, select grim dawn -> Controller settings
Go to UI Controls -> Controller settings -> edit layout
Change trackpads -> Right trackpad behavior -> As Mouse,
Now,set a Mode Shift for the right trackpad,then:
Right Trackpad (Mode Shift) -> As Mouse
Right Trackpad on click -> Interact
This will let you use the right trackpad as a mouse and clicking the pad lets you pick up/move things in the inventory for example.
Tested,works fine even in mods. Have fun guys
Hi mate,
this still doesn't bring back the "Editing" menü for entering any text while filtering for materials and vendor items.
Do you have a workaround for this issue, too?
Thx.
Cheers.
