Shared Stash is not shared ??

I have a lvl 100 character and a lvl 11.
I used the Smuggler to store items from my first character, both in the storage and in the "shared" section. When I tried to access the shared stash with my lvl 11 character I found it empty.
I put in some of the characters stuff, and went back to my main, and the main characters items were there, but none of the lvl 11 items.

Am I doing something wrong here?
Why can't I share items like in Titan Quest?

Is one character softcore and the other hardcore. If so, they don't share anything.

Well, it's not only stash. Recipes, illusions, and basically any kind of shared progress is also stored separately for HC and SC. So plan accordingly.

Personal preference. I play mostly HC. Don't mess with celestials nearly ever. I use page 1 of shared for all common components and craft items, mandates, merits, iron bars whatever will fit, then expand on page 2 for items that won't fit. I have used item assistant (3rd party app) for unlimited storage from page 6. For a bit more of a challenge, I've also tried starting over and have created "mule" characters (ones that aren't going to be doing any real adventuring) to hold set items legendaries and harder to obtain green items. In HC, only store items on your adventuring characters you think might be good to try out but aren't concerned with losing. Death will come for you, my friend.
