Removing Item Skills

Is there a way to take a skill from an item and put it into another item?

Not unless it comes from a component, in which case you can either have the inventor destroy the item and recover the component or just get another of the component in question. If you mean take a skill intrinsic to the item and move it another, no.

If the skill is from an affix, then assuming that the item you want to move it to isn't an epic or legendary (or one of the few "fixed" rares that don't get affixes), you might be able to find a version with the affix in question, but you can't move the affix from one item to another.

Item skills from magic and rare items are tied to either the affix or suffix, although you can't swap those once you know what gives what you can just keep an eye out or create posts to trade for the items you want.
