Do Hellhounds benefit more from Spirit or Cunning?
Seems like they do mostly magic damage. I'm not even sure how scaling and pets works.

Pets benefit mostly from gear which says Bonus to pets i.e +100 % dmg

What he said, i reccomend highly spending devotion points in pet bonuses, such as the shephards crook and -something- bonds, the wolf is also extremely good.

Pets get nothing from the players stats, its all from gear and devotions/skills specific to pets.

If your going mainly pet build, most your points should go into physique since none of your stats help your pets. Only items that specifically say that they buff pets will help. You can farm vendors for them at first.

Just use cunning and spirit to increase your stats enough to wear gear you want. It takes a good 20 levels and some gear to really start to feel good as a pet class imo but mid to end game they are very powerful.

I never go full pets. That's boring. Hellhounds only in my current idea.

probably a bad idea since gear has attribute requirements and higher level gear has pretty high cunning/spirit requirements, you cant simply dump every point into physique

I know there are kids out there, that can read and write now, were not alive when that post was written. What form of witchcraft is this necropathy?

2 key reagents in this necromancy spell:

1. People for some reason thinking it's ok and not at all rude to post in whatever topic appears in their search results without checking the age
2. Steam for some reason still not locking topics after a certain age

this is for future reference dumbass, for people who might be looking for this information. I bought this game a week ago and was wondering about the same thing brought up in this post, person who said that you should put most of your points in physique when running pets is wrong, you shouldnt. Hopefully people who look for this kind of information will read it.

thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard, people still play this game and every bit of information you can find on it is important. And correcting misinformation is too, if you dont need this information doesnt mean nobody else doesnt

And CK Flow - gonna have to link a pet build that doesnt use to much physique. I can list you a dozen pet builds that ALL use physique.

If that not enough I will get the queen of pet builds in to call your bluff. Maya has more knowledge about builds than even the devs.
Violesta Nov 18, 2021 @ 9:51pm
Alot of peeps say put pts in physique & only in cunning and/or spirit to equip items. As said above pets get from items etc. & go to official crate forums & look at mayas threads on pet builds. You will get answers fast there. Part of the reason you want phy is so you dont become too much of a glass cannon.

^Late game, if you dont have a ton of phys, you are going to be 1 hit crit dead from end game bosses, and if you are going on to try the celestials, good luck with that. 2 Things will get you far in this game - phys and overcapped resists, ah make that 3 - also a good RR spell for your damage type. and once again 1 more tiny little itty bitty thing called life leach of some type.

i ever said dont use it at all, i said dont dump most of the points into physique, or you want be to use gear that you want, some of the occultist specific gear for example require a crap ton of spirit to wear
