Quest Tracking: Helping Hand

I was able to get the scrap to Barnabas to fix the water pump. The quest tracker marks the Kasparov quest as completed with a check and the Barnabas quest unchecked - this, to me, seems misleading.

Am I interpreting the interface incorrectly?

If the quest to bring scrap to Barnabas is still unchecked as completed, it most certainly is a bug. Otherwise, are you sure it is not the quest you get from him immediately upon turning in the first quest?

I turned in the first quest and he gave me the follow-up. It then marked the Kasperov quest as completed [which I have not started] in both the interface and in the quest journal. You can see the box checked in the screen shot linked below.

Helping Barnabas with the water pump requires you to enter the cellar below Devil's Crossing. Giving him the scrap is basically only a pre-requisite. If you have not given Kasparov Aether Crystals yet, though, that is definitely strange. For me, the game has always displayed the quest progress correctly, but perhaps something was messed up due to the arrival of the tracker in the journal. Unless anyone else can help out with this, I am going to pay closer attention to the quest tracker's behaviour within the next couple of days.

You must have talked to Kasparov at some point, because you have his "Find the Apprentice" quest.

The apprentice is way up in Burrwitch (that's all I'll say about it), so to finish up the Barnabas portion, go north from Barnabas to the next house, find the trap door in the floor and go clean it out.

I talked to Kaparov to get the quest...but I haven't found his apprentice yet. I am going to clean out the cellar next and then head up to Burrwitch. Every time I've headed up that way something stops my game and I never quite make it.

Do you mean that the game crashes when you try to get to Burrwitch?

Nope...my family happens and I have to exit to break up a fight between kids or help my wife do something.

I'm halfway to Burrwitch now so, eventually, I'll get there :)
