Manticore Eye?

Can anyone tell me where I could find a Manticore Eye?
I have been farming Manticores close to the Pine Barrens & in the Jagged Waste, but i've had no luck.

its been asked before. its a very very hard drop rate.

Switch to veteran mode for that area for more drops.

I've been farming EXTENSIVELY for this drop as well. I spent several hours the other day in Veteran just farming the Manticore boss in Jagged Wastes (as well as all the others in that zone) with no luck. Someone posted that if I'm too high lvl it won't drop. So, once there was a 6 level difference between me and the mobs there, I moved on to Elite.

In Elite I spent a while farming her again to no avail. It takes longer to kill them in Elite, but I don't know if a drop is possible in Veteran if I'm in my 60's now. What's funny is my Nightblade has one from idk when as he was my first character. Wish I could trade that item with my summoner. Savage is the only pet relic I have a recipe for and I need 2 of those damn things.

I see Blood Grove referenced above. Is there a boss there that's a good target? Also, has anyone gotten an eye to drop since B29? Thank you

Yes. I started the game over since b29 and deleted my old toons.

Once I reached this area on one of my new toons I got the drop immediately. I was level 38.

I'm there again on my 2nd toon now and he's level 37.

I've just got 1, after B29.
Also, I think any Manticore, or at least, any Manticore of at least yellow rank can also drop it.
I've got 7 Eyes overall, 2 from Magora, 4 from Orange ones and the other drop in quiet a while melee. I'm not sure which Manticore drop it, but I'm sure there was no Oranges in that fight, so it must be either a Yellow or White.

Do you know if the mobs have to be right around my level or so to have a chance at a drop? Killspeed is pretty slow for me in Elite right now as I'm lacking key pet gear (aside from the rep stuff), though the xp is nice. Idk if there is a drop rate penalty or not for farming lower level (Veteran) content or not.

Yes, the mobs have to be around your level.
I've heard some say that they stop dropping when they're ten level below you and some other say they stop dropping ever since their level turn blue (which take considerably less level difference). Not sure which of them were right.

Which is incredibly stupid considering the need for it you can outlvl those things quite easily even in Ulitmate you can turn em blue somewhat easily. This really needs to be fixed im honestly not sure how to go about it but its a incredibly rare component and used it a ton of great items besides relics.

Hoping on the "lol wtf these crackers are high" bandwagon for manticore eyes. Went from friendly to capped with homestead from farming them, not a single drop. Still getting xp so it should be possible. but nope.

With so many issues right now with balance and other stuff, gonna go ahead and give the game a rest until it's official launch in Feb. I imagine many of these things will be worked out then, at least hopefully

So, my 2nd toon went through the area and got the drop in a single run. He was lvl 37 and dropped from an orange mob.

They should add a cave or something that spawns Manticores to your level. That, or just make them drop at any level.
