Side quests question
So I finished my first character normal playthrough and did 98% of all side quests and was wondering how it "optimal" to do side quests on elite/ultimate and on my next characters.
Do you always do all side quests ? or do you skip 90% of them besides important one, should I also do everyone of them on elite ? should I just do them once ?
Is there any "rule" most people follow with side quests on new chars and on elite/ultimate ?

I always do everything. I paid for it, it's in the game, so experience it.

Besides where is the fun in buidling your character if you only intend on fighting 3 bosses?
Fun is the journey not arriving at the end destination. For me anyway.

Quests - main and side - give you the most XP for levelling up so yes do them.

Side Quests aren't required for progression. Personally, I would complete as many as I can to clear the difficulty. The extra XP and rewards are nice to have as well. You can effectively complete the game without doing any sides.

It's the same thing they did with Diablo 3 and its own Necromancer class when it was released.

You have to sell it like that if it's known to the consumer that the pets are not what you want or expect and for whatever reason the developers won't budge for "a*hole reasons".
unsure if you're just being "you" again, high on a new designer drug, or seriously delusional: there is no XP difference for different classes,
and if you're even remotely implying it then you're being ludicrous without redemption and need to stop posting BS "information" on the forum... 😐

Most of side quests are align with the playthrough, so you complete them anyway if you like to explore the map. In case you want to run through the game quick, without spending time on exploration, i would suggest to do only those quests that give you skill points and ability points as a reward. But keep in mind that even if you skip all of them, you always can return later to do them.
Or with v1.2.0

"Completing a quest that grants Skill or Attribute points on a higher difficulty (Elite or Ultimate) will now reward you the Skill and Attribute points from the lower difficulties as well (ex. completing Kasparov’s Pocket Portal on Ultimate will also grant skill points from the Normal/Elite difficulty quests if you skipped them)."
