best survival class for HC?

im searching on google and i mostly hear Warden and Warlord.
but its really hard to find a good build or something because there are so many of them, idk which one is made by a "good" player so i can rely on

Just go for skeleton/dog cabalist, it snowballs so fast and so hard, only early levels should be a problem. by the time you hit ugdenbog you should be immortal.

im playing as cabalist in a normal game so i am trying a different one

I realy like vitality caster, you have tons of life leech, you dont need to stand still.
Just chose a mix between Shaman, Occultist and Necro.

Forcewave Warlord is also realy tanky and simple to play.
You can build them extra tanky if you ignore Kraken and go for more defensive Devotions like Light of Empyrion.

i've seen people talking about warden tank build having imensive health regen so you never die but it was 1 or 2 years ago , something must have changed, i got curious to play with it
but seen other people talking about warlord and archon too.

I completed the game on the hardest difficulty level without using any guides. Thanks to my understanding of the basic game mechanics, I was able to survive.

It seems like you would need at least some type of knowledge regarding to the resistances and such. I feel like my technical skill is quite good, but it is impossible to avoid much of the damage thrown your way in combat. I use a gun wielding character so I can implement some degree of hit and run tactics but it only goes so far. Certain boss or elite type enemies can essentially one shot me, and that is only on Elite difficulty. I can't imagine what i'll be facing on Ultimate, which I hope to play through prior to the release of the new expansion.

Check your DA numbers and resists. You need at least 2800 DA to avoid critical damage from attacks and spells.

Soldier/Shaman, Occultist/Shaman are good.

Well, to answer this, it is subjective. I would say there are alot of builds that are viable for HC. I think the best class/ build is the class/build you enjoy most. All dependent on your own personal taste. My list of HC builds/ character I personally enjoy are these. Lvl 100 pet Ritualist. I have two lvl 100 HC of that build. Next is my hybrid retaliation lvl 100 Deathknight(Very very FUN). My next HC is my lvl 94 Commando. Then my lightning spec warder.

As you can see I mixed it up s bit. So the best HC character you play is the character you enjoy the most. With the play style that fits you. For example Rektbyprotoss will play a HC build I would never play. But he enjoys it. I play a build he really would not want to play. So that is what I mean by "the play style that fits you".

Almost all builds can or are HC viable. Enjoy!
