ABB (and lethal assault) is one of the better NB leveling kills. Doing great damage immediately. Doing something like a firestrike with DW weapon procs will eventually become good, but you need a lot of skill points before that build comes on line. You can't really compare them with only some points into firestrike and nothing else.
I just thought of something.
Is ABB also better at Duel Wielding because it works for Off-Hand as well?
Fire Strike doesn't show anything for the Off-Hand.
EDIT: Okay, I figured out how to make the Fire Strike tree more in line with ABB.
Put 1 point into Fire Strike, then build Explosive Strike like you would ABB.
You got it backwards. Fire Strike works for both main hand and off hand, while Amarasta's Blade Burst only works on either your main hand (if using a single weapon, 1-hand or 2-hand), or only your off hand if you're dual wielding.
I never noticed this. You are absolutely right. When dual wielding, ABB goes by the off-hand. So I switched my weapons and it's a lot better. Of course any %damage bonus from the main hand still applies.
As for Fire Strike, it's not strong by itself. Like Matthew said, it needs a lot of points in it's modifiers or wps from other masteries.
Would it be with LMB/RMB?
Thank you tutzdes and madrigal
I can write.
This Saboteur that I'm playing in HC is going to need a lot of figuring out.
Trash mobs (light, medium, and a bit tougher) go down fast.
But bosses do not go down so fast, like with other class combos.
I'm thinking it is due to all of the skill build up one has to do with it.
I'm currently only 36th level, so I've got a long ways to go.
Thank you again everyone for the advice and help. 😊
