CPU affinity fix? What to do on 8 core CPUs?
I am on a 4090 with a 7800x3D (so an 8 core CPU) and I get microstutters when traversing despite being able to run the game at 240 FPS 99% of the time

I heard this game is funky with CPU affinity but can’t find any recent info on people changing their affinity on 8 core processors

Does anyone have an 8 core CPU and let me know which cores you enable/disable?

I run Ryzen 7 5800x3d 8 core with 32gb RAM and RTX 4800 on Windows 11

All settings max locked at 100 fps on ultrawide at 3440x1440.

No frame rate drops, no stuttering, all silky smooth. No issues here and never have had.

Why 100 fps? Just out of curiosity
Seems like an odd number to clamp your frame rate to considering you usually want the frame rate to be divisible by your refresh rate

I hope dev team will find a solution for this problem, it dive me crazy too, game is microstutter and make very uncomfotable when play it, I dont want to skip a good game like this one.
I will quit the game for now and wait for next DLC, if this problem got fixed, its an instant DLC buy for me.

The game has always been like this, never had it cause any problems, especially now with a recently upgraded CPU so meh..

Have you tried enabling VSync or lowering the max fps? quite possible the high FPS is the cause of your stuttering.

I also cap most games @100fps to save energy and for less heat. With gsync/freesync its not important to match native hz from monitor.

I run my display at 100hz so it matches perfectly.

I tried out that program, it did spread the cores/threads like its supposed to but as far as performance with it goes i couldnt tell if it helped anything.

100 FPS isnt beyond what i believe that engine can handle with no issues, but 200+ on the other hand would not surprise me if it did.

This is not the kind of game where a crap ton of FPS gives some type of benefit. Its been documented multiple times over the years where High FPS on certain games can cause issues, 1000 FPS on a main menu for example, so it isnt impossible for a game to get stuttering and such for the same reason.
