Cosplay-idea: Sauron
i need some help for this cosplay-idea:

1) which class would fit the most?
2) which build would fit? (+ a guide would be nice/link to a guide)
3) which transmog/illusion would fit? (pls name the names)

White wizard from Loyalist Pack 2 probably for the illusion.

Anyway, Morgoneth armor is pretty close to Sauron if you can live with different color scheme. Which is totally a coincidense, given how Morgoneth crafted seven rings for his magi, and then one for himself to rule them all...

Been a long while since I read the books and I didn't think much of them at the time either.

You could always try the dark wizard illusion instead.
