is Mogdrogen's Shrine worth it?

I heard there are 59shrines and only 50 points MAX in devotion, so should i just leave such a complex quest behind? When in the end it doesnt matter, or is there something else to that quest, like legenday item or achievemt etc.

Other thing is that im elite diffeculty and i coudn't get Rovers faction level to honored in normal (veteran) so i would have to grind low level bountys to get the quest itself.

well u have the option to fight him after u restore the shrine, not sure what loot he drops.

You can skip it.
Though there're something else in the quest. You get to fight a bunch of Ch'thonian heroes and get their drops, of course, and I feel that Mogdrogen's Shrine give more abundant spoils for its restoration compare to normal shrines, there's almost always an Epic and sometmes even a Legendary.
And you'll get to meet the avatar of old Mogdrogen himself. If you antagonise and kill him, you get the Celestial Bane achievemnet and some unique items.

shrines drop loot and Mogdrogen's shrine has a high potential of dropping good items. As Koopeh also already pointed out, you can piss of Mogdrogen's spirit so he becomes hostile. You can test your luck and try to kill him for something good. But he is very, Very hard

There's a lot of reasons not to kill him.
Lorewise- he's one of the good guys.
Storywise - you are sent to restore his shrine, not kill him.
Gameplaywise - he's OP
And My level 83 Conjuror still has a little problem fightinng this guy on normal.

Lorewise : you don't kill the actual god himself, only a mere physical representation, so no consequencies.
Storywise : he acts like an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with you (when you just helped him by restoring his shrine, what a jerk !), "meh I'm a god, I don't care if the world is destroyed and all my followers decimated, there is more important stuff, can't change destiny blah blah, you can't understand you mortal noob, I'm too OP for you"
Gameplaywise : he has a pretty shiny shoulder armor and an achievement :p

Can you kill him on Normal and then not do so on Elite etc. Would tha tbe worth it? [Assuming you are able to kill him]

atleast going to kill that god avatar wanna be on normal, after i have leveled up some more.

Good question. Couldnt find out either wether he has different loottables on different difficulties.

I would say getting Mogdrogens shrine is worth it since it doesnt take to long and the stuff you need is in rifts.. aka nice exp.. aka free levels.

Mogdrogen himself.. yeah.. either you are a lvl 85 with alot of ways to regen/stealth health and have time.. or you find a team with 4 specific roles (aka a more healer-type, a sort of tank, dps and ofcourse adjust resistances to Mogdrogen accordingly (think its lightning and bleed or something? forgot) perhaps you can do the elite one with that.. though at that point he is level 96 or something i believe. Ultimate is just 1-shot everyone i believe XD
Normal kinda depends on class/build on which level you will be able to do it

Yes you can kill him anywhere with any level, well, in theory :P
You really need a badass character even on normal. Only been able to do it with a 75 vit conjurer on normal, all my other toons failed miserably so far heh.

So, when does he get locked so you cant kill him in normal?

Is it when you click on elite and load a game?

Does he get locked out in elite when you go to ultimate?
